Poznań

Poznań - the capital of Wiekopolska, or Great Poland. The city has more than 600 thousand inhabitants and is located directly on the route between Paris and Moscow. Poznan is a city that has great significance in Polish history. Here in 968 the first Polish diocese was founded and cathedral was built.

Poznań is a very lively trade and student city, and after Warsaw it is the Polish city that develops economically the fastest. Many international companies have their offices here, and more than 130,000 young people follow a course at the university or one of the colleges.

Poznań exudes dynamism and energy, is famous for its numerous fairs and has a vibrant nightlife. At every hour of the day, but especially at night, it is very busy in the Old City. In addition to an attractive nightlife, Poznań also offers visitors many historical attractions, including a variety of museums. Excellent connections with the surrounding area make the city a good base for exploring the rest of Greater Poland
