Wrocław

In the heart of the city you will find the Rynek, the city's main market square and one of the largest market squares in Europe. The square is characterized by the cheerful colors and beautiful shapes of the various facades. On this square you will also find the Ratusz, the largest city hall in Poland. This Gothic town hall is also used as a restaurant, museum and concert hall. It is always pleasantly busy on the square and the adjacent terraces.

Wroclaw has more than 120 bridges that connect the 12 different islands of the city. In Europe only Venice, St. Petersburg and Amsterdam have more bridges than Wroclaw. My favorite bridge in Wroclaw is the turquoise Tumski bridge with its thousands of clasps. Just like, until it was forbidden, couples in Paris seal their love here, after which they throw the key in the Odra river.

The most important market hall of Wroclaw is the Hala Targowa. This hall was built in 1906 and was very progressive in terms of architecture with its impressive arches. The Hala Targowa is the perfect place to put together a delicious and cheap picnic. Stroll along the stalls, buy some fresh fruit, typical Polish chocolate, delicious freshly baked bread rolls and of course Polish pierogi.
